Minnesota resident Nicole Cleland had her Global Entry and TSA Precheck privileges revoked three days after an incident in which she observed activity by immigration agents, the woman said in a court declaration. An agent told Cleland that he used facial recognition technology to identify her, she wrote in a declaration filed in US District Court for the District of Minnesota.
I was mildly surprised that everyone accepted facial recognition so readily. There are consequences that were mentioned a decade ago, and this was one of them.
Now people are allowing A.I. agents to take control of their computers entirely. I have no doubt this will become widespread, and the consequences that they’re being warned about now will happen and will affect people other than just them. -
Today's A.I. security review ridiculousness: It (I think it's Snyk, but I'm not sure at this point what the source is) pointed out a double semicolon in some C++ code. It acknowledged that it was not a "directly" a security vulnerability, then went on to say that if some pointer used in the statement wasn't checked, it could lead to a null pointer dereference.Comments
These two things have nothing to do with each other (and you can actually make that statement about any pointer anywhere), but it agglomerated them anyway because that's what next token prediction does.
There probably is no point to pointing this kind of issue out anymore, but I feel the need to say again that this kind of nonsense adds up and wastes time and energy. We're now building a world on this, and it is going to be shaky. -

Baldass, acting as a faithful Nazi party member, resisted and frustrated their efforts in a bid to prevent the works from leaving Austria. As a result, most passed into the hands of the Nazi state. After the war, Louis Rothschild attempted to reclaim parts of his collection, but Baldass made use of his influence and bargained that some pieces should stay in the care of the state Kunsthistorisches Museum, in return for the passage of a number of others back to the Rothschild family. The Rothschild family eventually and reluctantly conceded to these terms.[1] -

Yeah, it’s a video. Very annoying. So tl;dr:
- It produced code that doesn’t build.
- It used Servo components instead of making components from scratch.
- The code is totally incomprehensible. No one could build on this.
- It cost $3-5 million in tokens, so who knows how much energy. -

Last night at judo, I had a simple experiment: Just maintain good posture. Head up, no bending forward unless I was finishing a throw. While I was still getting chucked, it was mostly after I had attempted a throw. Good posture, as they keep telling you, is automatic defense that's almost free.Comments
It also made entering for throws a little easier because you can reach further when your hips aren't pushed back. And then just now, an interview with Maruyama was posted in which he talks about just that.
Another thing I validated: I have more leverage with the sleeve grip when I can pull it across the body. I was able to land a sode osotogari that way, in which I really got the upper body moving. Of course, it is hard to get in a situation in which you can pull the sleeve across, but you're in a highly advantageous situation when that condition is met. -
