One of our kindergarten teachers gave us a call yesterday. Honestly, it was the highlight of the day. It was a nice thing to do, so I'm not surprised she did it, but I am shocked by how effective it was.

Brownpau rounded up some coverage of the eruption of the Taal volcano that happened in January. I'm struck by how still the ash clouds were. And the lava fountains are ridiculously astounding-looking.
