Way back last summer, I planned out an ergonomic home work station for myself that would consist of two simple planes at particular heights: One to put my computer on when sitting with my keyboard on my lap; the other, higher one, to put my computer on when standing and putting the keyboard on the lower plane.
After figuring it unlikely that I'd be able to bill these or get them built, as simple as they were, I ordered a bunch of IKEA stuff that was close enough
Then, IKEA fulfillment mishaps happened
By November, I finally had the right pieces from IKEA and
actually made time to put together the main parts. I had the lower plane, the most essential part, installed and usable
I've been using it ever since, except I didn't install the small shelf (the "upper plane"), so I couldn't really use it as a standing desk station.
I finally did it!
It's working well. And this simple idea only took about seventh months in all to actually implement.
