I feel like I should say: the guy has been doing interesting new things lately (including looking at books quietly on his own), projects are moving along, things have been going well at work, and I was very satisfied with how the last D&D game went.
I don't know exactly why I don't write as much about things going well for me. Perhaps it's that I write in part to work things out, and there's nothing to work out about 👍 situations.
But
this article about the creators of Dwarf Fortress sorta reminded me that I should. They're making a living and have achieved the indie game designer dream (the artistic part at least) but do not make enough to cover the health scares they're having. Again, this would not be an issue at all under healthcare systems like those in Korea or much or Europe.
I almost said "it's a completely unnecessary hazard" but that would trivialize how entrenched the forces that create this situation are.
