I've seen Google, via YouTube, repeatedly try to tip people into that pipeline. This could be stopped, but it would just cost them "too much" money.

Instead of some long account of my lasik experience last week, here is what I wrote to my mother-in-law in response to her question about how it went:

Hey, they've been great! They're not too dry, but I've been aggressive with the artificial tears, as recommended.

It was quite the procedure. Seeing my vision change as they lifted up and put back the flaps was amazing. And actually smelling a part of my cornea get vaporized, sci-fi style is probably a class of experience I'll never have again!

Here is a quick demo of a code explanation tool I've been working on, as part of my quest to understand and explain the code in Rogue. It renders the code with annotations, then provides buttons to go to the next line in the code (which sometimes is not just the line below it) and also allows the a line of code (like a function call) to be expanded inline. I think it's decent for two days (~500 minutes) of work.

As a nice side bonus, I updated my ye olde simplescroll module and got the example back up.

I have learned a couple things from this show, but mostly, it's just incredibly soothing.

Because doctor-ordered screen time limitations for the last week, I took breaks from looking at the computer every three minutes on Tuesday, five minutes on Wednesday, and ten minutes on Thursday.
