Yesterday, the guy wanted to cut shapes out of maps, so we went out on a quest to find maps he could cut. We hit up a couple Little Free Libraries, where books go to die, and got some fantasy paperbacks, which reliably have maps in the front.
Then, we went to Goodwill, and we got a $3 atlas. I stumbled upon this old Italian architecture magazine, arcVision. It was strange, in that the first section was all pro-big-business economists' op-eds, and the last section had all of these amazing floor plans and cross section diagram of these high-falutin' buildings. I guess they go hand-in-hand.
The cross sections have a fairly powerful hold on me at the moment. I realized they have the same appeal as various Richard Scarry illustrations. So, that is the latest thing I'm into.
The guy, in the end, cut and colored one map. It looked cool! But then he went back to drawing alternate rainbows and reading Dog Man.
