It’s not the first time residents in the city have accused police of burning them on the pavement. In 2019, Phoenix police department officers held Roniah Trotter, then 18, on hot pavement on a 113F day, leaving her with second-degree burns. Earlier that year, a 28-year-old man died in police custody after officers held him down on hot asphalt for several minutes.

Israel’s parliament has voted to ban the UN relief and works agency (Unrwa) from the country within 90 days, in defiance of US and other international pressure to maintain the largest provider of humanitarian assistance to the country’s Palestinian population.

In a 92-10 vote late on Monday, the Knesset banned the agency, which operates in Israel according to a 1967 treaty, from conducting “any activity” or providing any service inside Israel, including the areas of annexed East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank.

Vought held up the summer 2020 unrest following George Floyd’s murder as an example of when Trump ought to have had the ability to deploy the armed forces but was stymied.

In other words: that’s upstream, and this isn’t an Atlantic salmon leaping waterfalls to return to its breeding grounds. Also, even if the urethra is dilated because you’ve been putting it off for too long and are now pissing like a horse, this fish’s head is over a centimetre wide. I suspect the Straight Dope report either jumped the gun or didn’t get its facts right, and that the scientists investigated Dr. Samad’s case and… were not altogether convinced.
