Whoa, Iran attacked Pakistan, and Pakistan attacked back. There’s so much I don’t keep track of. I had no idea that enmity between them was that high. Also, Iran has its fingers in a lot of pies these days.Comments

It's surprisingly hard to find a shared editor that supports math formatting. It seems to be like "learn LaTeX or GTFO". Just now, I found out about Typst from Quinten. It lets you just write stuff out in a code-like way (which is easy to write and hard to read) and render it in "normal" math style.Comments

Junior calisthenics, breakfalls, 13 pull-ups. I did the breakfalls even though the guy’s not here because they’re energizing. Maybe threatening your brain with falling wakes it up.Comments
I’m not going to be able to run for a while. Well, I could if I wanted to deal with bitter cold but I don’t right now. So, I should come up with more things I could do. I’ve had several Good Back Days; one of the metrics is how smoothly cat-cows go, and that’s been non-crunchy. Maybe I can do some burpees or light lifts. -

There’s a form of painting where you paint on water called Ebru. Cool stuff happens when you paint (using acrylics) with a lot of water, so it makes sense that painting on the water has a lot of possibilities.Comments

During a long meeting, I kept thinking, I should start a business!Comments
This is even though I know I already tried and couldn’t come up with anything. I think this is like when Dr. Wily used to go on top of the fridge then complain that she couldn’t get down, even though she had been in that situation multiple times. -

It's weird that the Compact Disc had a logo. It's a non-proprietary format, but I guess Sony and Phillips had a stake in promoting it. There isn't, as far as I know, an MP3 logo or a cassette logo or a vinyl logo. Or, like, a Graph Paper logo.Comments

There's a Slack I check once in a while, and it's still filled with links to X. I thought that Elon's various missteps with Twitter would finally kill, but it appears I'm wrong! People are carrying on with the memes and culture on X. Elon/money wins again.Comments

Well, no one else has showed up to the music programming group for a while, so I finally deleted the meeting.Comments
I'm still going to work on this stuff on Monday nights, though. I'm now reckoning with the data I'm using in Flooding and realizing I don't quite understand what was being measured. -
Western Canada has roughly half of the average snowpack. The snow packed in the mountains provides 75% of the stream flow. It provides river water as well as ground water. So, without that, things get dry. There’s less water to drink, and the possibility of winter wildfires increases.Comments
