It's weird that the Compact Disc had a logo. It's a non-proprietary format, but I guess Sony and Phillips had a stake in promoting it. There isn't, as far as I know, an MP3 logo or a cassette logo or a vinyl logo. Or, like, a Graph Paper logo.
