As usual, I really enjoy myself when I’m between jobs! I guess I have some amount of dread at a lot of jobs that is so ever present that it gets pushed into the unconscious. Feels light to not have that, though.Comments
Of course, this has grim implications about the proportion of the rest of my life I’m likely to spend feeling free. But I’m going to feel free to put that aside for now. -

Huh, I was looking at Method Man's Wikipedia entry and found out that one of his kids, Raekwon Smith, is playing college football. More interesting to me is that he graduated from Curtis High School in Staten Island. Meaning Method Man stayed in Shaolin!Comments
School ratings sites have to be taken with several grains of salt, but this one gives Curtis High School a good rating. It's only three miles away from Killah Hills.
While I'm giving you the Wu-Tang news, Raekwon (original Raekwon) opened a coffee shop in Staten Island last year. - Comments

Fully cleaned the upstairs bathroom, Lysoling the floors, behind the toilet, under the litter box, and in the tub. Nothing like the “I may or may not be smelling cat pee” feeling to get one onto that, post-haste!Comments

I jumped on the Trizoe bandwagon, and I have to say, it is a really good knife sharpener. There might be better mechanical knife sharpeners, but it is way better than using one of those manual things. And it is really enjoyable to cut things easily.Comments

We finished watching Korra. She once again defeated the guys by having higher power levels than them. Well done.Comments

Welp, the guy is further than me in Spelunky 2 now. I gotta focus!Comments

Well, I wrapped up one job. Two weeks until the next job.Comments
I found myself really trying to get the last thing I did in shape, even though I knew it was going into the garbage. What was that about? To show them I'm reliable or something? Who knows. I may have just absorbed too much Puritan work culture.
Anyway, doing those final `docker compose down`s felt good. -
The guy walked to school carrying a large poster board with text of varying sizes on it. I realized the difference between a school project poster and the poster board of an unhinged guy standing outside of a CVS do not scan all that differently!Comments

Final bit of job work: Somehow not done still! -
This episode of Past, Present, Future is about life behind the Iron Curtain. Jeans were a big deal! They had a genuine thirst for them, but they were also a form of protest.Comments

I think that from now on, I'm going to try to refer to code as "computer code" to make people think I'm really old.Comments

Via Set Side B, an early Miyamoto interview. I like how he describes bluegrass:Comments
In the past, when I had free time, I'd go to pachinko or play live music. I love this genre called bluegrass, it's like American Enka or something.

Ten-minute run, 15 pull-ups, PT back stuff. The cat-cows were crunchy, so there may be a back toll to a short run. Or it’s from something from yesterday.Comments
