It actually did not occur to me before that to say that something is both A and not A, where A is some aspect like being round, you do have to know that something completely.

Again, Plato's insistence that of anything real we must be able to make a statement to the exclusion of its contradictory seems to stem from his assumption that the totally real must be totally knowable.
I think at this point, we have to accept that completely knowing a thing is out of reach. -

I like to think of myself as a guy that's good at following my own path, but I went on LinkedIn to look at morbid layoff news, and found out some of my former coworkers work at Apple and instantly thought, I am losing at life. It was like I had somehow forgotten completely about a career goal.Comments
Then, I had to remind myself I hate Apple and FAANG-type companies. I stopped even liking Apple's products in 2016.

At a very early stage Confucius came to be known as a sage and naturally stories came to be told about him some of which no doubt originated from hostile circles. Of these there was a particular genre which was popular. This consists of stories about Confucius's encounters with hermits who made fun of him.
I like that this genre existed. -
