- Dropped off.
- Emailed some friends about recommendations.
- Emailed a principal.
- Called about a health insurance thing, sent documents.
- Bought a bunch of containers and some Easter stuff.
- Fixed a backup script that had been broken for a long time. I think.
- Client C work.
- Ordered a refundable plane ticket to EYEO. I really want to finally go, but Covid, house stuff, and who knows what may prevent it.
- Put things in boxes, then moved them to the basement, like always.

- Dropped off, picked up, dropped off.
- Called parents about logistics.
- Painter communication/picked a painter (half the price of an estimate from a different painter!)/scheduled painting.
- Packed up more stuff, both in the apartment and in the basement.
- Sold five board games, gave away four or so.
- Helped a friend with a web audio thing.
- Client C work. This and the web audio thing were the most peaceful work of the day.
- Looked at some flights, hoping for a refundable one, but I was way too tired for that.

I am far from being the only one to call it, but I knew that Elon Musk would try to take over Twitter when he backed away from the standstill agreement he was offered in exchange for a spot on the board. Twitter kind of deserves this; I have no idea how an employee could serve that company after so many atrocities. But the world doesn't deserve a dominant platform directed by a right-wing plutocrat.

- Dropped off, picked up, dropped off.
- Took down shelves.
- Took more bags and boxes to Goodwill. Apparently, I gave away a $200 board game, but hey, I got it for free in the first place.
- Client C work.
- Showed our apartment to a painter.
- Talked to another painter.
- Talked to my accountant.
- Went to family poetry night at the guy's school. It had some organizational problems and was tiring, but I think the guy was excited about it. We did see some of the social problems his teacher spoke about, though, which was difficult.
- Boxed up some stuff, put out unwanted furniture.

13 pull-ups.

- A little bit of Client B work.
- Packed up board games; figured out which ones to give away. This was really tiring and stressful for some reason? I just felt like doing a million things like this will take forever, but we've actually made decent progress, especially Katt.
- Had a conference with the guy's teacher. It's sort of heartbreaking that he doesn't seem to be making friends and is content to be an observer. But he's a fairly happy guy still? This is all in line with his behavioral health eval, which gave a diagnosis but didn't really have any solutions other than "keep trying what you're trying." Academically, she said he's very strong, though, and his task initiation is getting better.
- Client C work. Landed a minor victory here!
- Real estate agent communication.
- Met with a painter/handyman. Got really good advice about minor defects but also a really high painting estimate. Gotta shop around, sadly.
- Did some town research, found out about some disappointing/scary racist incidents.
- Made dinner.
- Took down a shelf and a wall-mounted desk.

Well, I woke up at 4 this morning with general anxiety and didn't quite get back to sleep, so I'm wiped again. I feel content now, though!

32-minute run, 13 pull-ups.

- Took ACs out to curb, posted to Craigslist about them, scheduled a pickup from the city as backup. But six people emailed me, and someone took them before I could mark them as being for someone that emailed me.
- Called about a health insurance thing that was actually totally my fuckup. (I missed a deadline.) They were actually helpful and forgiving, and hopefully, we will not have to find new health insurance.
- Client B work.
- Took four bags of clothes and a box of uncontroversial board games to Goodwill. Also, possibly a friend's puzzle, so I'll have to go look for that tomorrow!
- Took the guy to social class. Helped with homework, though he did not appreciate hearing that something had to be redone.
- Emailed a former colleague.
- Went to electronic music group. Worked on Flooding some more and got in more tempo variability and envelopes so there aren't as many popping noises. We kinda got off-topic and started talking about Joseph's cool California E. coli map.

There were more things I wanted to fit in, and I felt defeated, but then I reflected, and I think the things that happened were actually pretty good today.

Etsy sellers strike.

Etsy made bank over the pandemic. In 2020, they more than doubled their gross marketplace sales. In 2021, they kept those pandemic sales gains and broke their 2020 record by $3.2 billion dollars.

In June of 2021, they acquired Elo7, the “Etsy of Brazil” to the tune of $217 million dollars cash.
In July of 2021, they completed acquisition of Depop, a British fashion marketplace, to the tune of $1.625 billion dollars, primarily cash.

They followed up these record pandemic gains by turning around and sticking it to their sellers.

On April 11, 2022, they plan to increase our transaction fees by 30%.

Yet another company that has a reputation of being rainbows and joy and employees with colored hair, that is, in fact, a corporation.

The Northampton area is a good fit for a day trip. Far enough that you feel like you've gotten “away”, but close enough that you aren’t exhausted by the time you get back home. Also, it’s got a good “feel”. A few months ago, I thought of it mostly as a place where we could be allowed to have a house, but there’s something subtle about it that is refreshing. Of course, that could be the “away” part.
