- Job.
- Looked into the new mystery of the basement puddle. It's not above any plumbing as far as we can tell. It did rain last night, and I found a puddle next to the foundation outside because our gutter didn't have a spout to lead the water away from the house. Made a makeshift one.
- Received the rest of the treadmill parts. This is the last of the tasks related to the old house. The movers showed up on time and took apart the treadmill deck even further to fit it through the old place's staircase. I'm glad I didn't ask my friends to move it, and I'm glad I didn't even bother trying to move the deck after I disassembled the treadmill. They, of course, went over the estimate, and it was close to the cost of a full apartment move, but I'd rather be overcharged than screwed.
- Made dinner.
- Moved stuff around, tried to plan out where things should go in the basement. Things got complicated by Bonus Cat possibly becoming afraid of the washing machine and not going to the litter robot next to it, and instead peeing in our bathtub. So, we moved the litter robot to the other side of the basement, and maybe that'll be the more storage-oriented side, and the other one will have machines, plus maybe hanging out space if we can Tetris things right?
- Recorded a
podcast episode.
- Moved the treadmill to its possible spot and started reassembling it. The movers reassembled part of it, but they put a bolt in that was meant to go in a hole that makes the hydraulic part (that raises the running deck so it's vertical for moving and lowers it for running), but without actually connecting it to that hole. Kinda dangerous, but I guess they were already dealing with something unexpected. I re-bolted that, then got the cable from the posts (that hold up the console) connected to the deck, and started to put in the posts, but they weren't fitting. I think it's a two-person job, and it was midnight, so I gave it up.
