- Wanted to change one thing about a bot and had to relearn how they worked. I didn't even know which computer the web screenshot-based bots (
Land of Contrasts,
Dem Bones, etc.) were running on. I thought they were still on my cloud VPS because I remember it was impossible to get headless Chrome to work on my Raspberry Pi. Like, it would not compile there. It turns out is running on the Raspberry Pi. Sort of! I guess two years ago, I slapped together
Snapper so that the VPS could run a headless browser (Webkit, specifically), and the Pi could do the rest. I've been thinking lately about arranging and simplifying my stuff so that I could still use it after I begin cognitive decline, and this is a good case for that. Presumably, I'm not yet in significant cognitive decline, and I had completely forgotten how this worked. The problem as always is that I'd rather work on something new.
- Job meeting.
- Call UPS and Target (Target's site said to call UPS, UPS's CSR said I have to call Target) to cancel a shipment that went to my old autosaved address. This is the second time I've been bitten by this. I need some kind of safety lock to prevent me from ordering things until I've checked the address.
- Called about our old insurance somehow not actually being deactivated which somehow prevents our current insurance from doing some things.
- Took the guy to social class.
- Settled XP; wrote a D&D recap.
- Went to music programming group. Talked about live coding, worked on my decomposition thing. Got some FFT stuff in there. It didn't work. Someone in the group brought up that she used FFTs to implement low-pass filters and then I realized that I could probably find a reference implementation of a bandpass filter as a guide.
- Put together
Stockholm for Looptober.
