I used some expensive steak my mother-in-law gave us for a stir-fry. It really is good steak, but we don’t have enough of it left for a meal for all of us. Plus, the remainders are two different kinds of steak.

Despite this possibly seeming like a waste, the quality does come through in a heavily-flavored stir-fry. Also, what was I going to do? Go buy more matching steak?

Use the food you have, I say.

We had a super smooth trip from school to the Lego class today. It’s always tight because it’s at a school in Arlington and happens five minutes after the official end of school.

However, the guy’s class always gets out a little after the official end, and there’s traffic.

Today, his class got out a little earlier than normal, he spotted me immediately, and we smoothly got to the car, which was in a spot that required no turning around, and buckled up. No big jams on the way there. Good conditions, good execution by us.

It is a weird thing to be pumped about, I know.

I've heard this idea that Twitter is punishing Musk because it's costing him lots of money. I don't think it is.

The point of having a lot of money is being able to just burn it on whatever you want to have happen. In Musk's case, he wants something stupid and harmful to everyone. But losing money isn't why he shouldn't do that. There is no point in having money if you don't spend it at some point, whether it's hundreds of dollars or billions.

It’s pretty nice to be back. I am sometimes like, this goddamn house! But it feels pretty good after being away in a AirBnb. Good smells, good lighting, good colors (at least inside). Even the sound of train isn’t terrible at this point. Even eating leftover beans is good times.

The kitchen still sucks, but it won’t kill us.
