I came across this old one-off tool, and it occurs to me that these paintings look better on a web page than they do in person. There's gotta be a name for that property.Comments

I got select controls working in observatory-editor, which made it easier to update my projects for Observatory. Still took hours, though! Never keep track of your projects!Comments

Some other guy in the waiting room sounds like he’s flipping channels on a TV but he’s on his phone. News, music, sports every five seconds. Is this just the norm now? Phones just blasting without headphones? I’d do a loudness war, but I want to try to maintain the respectful judo atmosphere out here.Comments

Wow. I started music programming night off by looking at Observatory to see which open projects I should get back to. I let myself take a short detour to add support for select controls in the really raw Observatory Editor so it would be easier to update the project metadata.Comments
I didn't finish that and now I'm out of time and have done no music stuff! -
Wily tried to high five Katt for some of the pimobendan she was giving Bonus. She thinks it’s some kind of elite level treat that she has to unlock.Comments
I thought about this, and it’s kind of an unresolvable mini-tragedy. There is no way to explain to her that it’s not food and that Bonus Cat actually hates it. Because it’s a medication, nor can we give it to her so she can taste it for herself.
She will always long for a treat that she’ll never get that’s not even a treat. -
There’s a mech in Pikmin 4 that rains missiles on the Pikmin. Out of character, maybe in a good way? I’m not sure.Comments

Build the Damn Thing is another business book that is more anecdotes and inspiration than usable stuff. (Unless you’re not inspired yet. Then, the inspiration is useful.)Comments
100 pages in, the only thing helpful for me was a page on how to interpret Google Ad stats.
However, I did enjoy this anecdotal information: MC Hammer’s legal name is now MC Hammer. It says that on his driver’s license. -
Every podcast I had just seemed like it was too much, so I listened to this old Idle Thumbs episode. I picked the wrong one because it happens to be about GamerGate and was recorded when it has started in 2014.Comments

The thing that’s always disappointing about weekends after you’ve worked late during the week is that you have to recover, so you don’t do as much as the stuff that would get you out of your work situation. Today, I read a bit, worked out, played a board game, tried to source Legos for the guy, and now it’s time to make dinner.Comments

One thing about that Kosmos escape game: There are a few puzzles in which you have to hold things up to a specific kind of glass of water and fold paper in a really specific way so that light coming from behind it shows you a clue. These are fiddly and less reliably solveable than the puzzles that rely on just what’s printed on the cards and booklets.Comments

We’ve been calling Dr. Wily “De Wijler” lately. She seems a little more sneaky with the Flemish name.Comments
