I guess it's nice that the MBTA board meetings are open to the public, but they're not video conferenced, and they're at 10 AM. Only people that can get out of work can make it to those. That pre-filters the participants, and that sucks.

Put insulation tape on this old GoPro, then double-sided tape on that to stick it to the window.

This and another old GoPro are the only cameras I have that do continuous recording. The Tapo cameras do motion-activated recording, which is not enough to catch a train in the act of honking. (This is a no-honk zone.)

A year ago, I emailed the mayor, she said to send to video of any trains honking. This has been surprisingly hard to get.

I looked up the lyrics to Reign Carrion. Darklyrics has a transcription with of apostrophe contractions: "Stinkin' corpse" "sufferin'" "livin' Hell".

Seemed wrong, and I actually have the CD booklet for this album, so I looked it up. And there it is! Vader wrote it down that way.

It looks goofy, but now that I think about it, I guess not anymore than "Eternal lust created by the ancient gods
Waked up me once again" and other English as a second language stuff.

Unfortunately for you, the reader, I'm going to talk about this every time this happens.

I went to DHL to get a quote with the intention of giving them my money, but they fought me hard on it. Clicking the Get the Quote button shows these placeholder images, but nothing happens.

You can see it making a POST in the dev tools and getting an "OK" back. There's a ton of errors in the console. Most likely one of these exceptions from some form validating event handler derailed everything.

And yup, the same thing happened in Chromium.

The web continues to get terrible. How can DHL management not properly fund and manage the funnel for their income? Probably a Google-style, ship it, get credit, get promoted kind of situation.

Back workout done. Did the weights stuff done, with slow motion bent over rows and reverse flies.

Pye Corner Audio is good workout music. I think track 4 has a Metroid riff, possibly independently discovered.

Ola Englund figures out how to play the Megadeth song Angry Again by ear in 40 minutes. It's an interesting watch. It's not the most complex song in the world, but there is no way I could do this. I'm not a great pitch matcher, so this would take me all day, and there is no way I could get the solo, which amazingly, he does.

He could fake this, but I don't think he would because, amazing as it is, transcribing by ear is not a unique ability. Thousands of talented kids can do it. It's even more common among session musicians like him.

Wow, SF had guitar classes in high school in the '70s. Kirk Hammett was in one of them. Public music education is so narrow now (or sometimes cut entirely). Kids could be finding their thing more easily if it stretched out a bit.

I thought about why Netanyahu seems more blatantly aggressive than Putin, who is waging an all-out war. It's because Ukraine is also waging an open war, making stuff like this harder for Russia to do. Whereas Palestine and Lebanon aren't waging an open war, which might counterintuitively make Lebanon more safe. (I don't know about Gaza; I think if they had a unified war effort, they might literally get wiped out.)
