Bandcamp Should Do More to Protect Artists and FansComments
A more aggressive approach needs to be enacted, because AI-generated content can easily overwhelm the report form and the resources of Bandcamp to review AI albums, with the use of bots for example. I suggest to integrate a built-in AI-detection tool for music uploaded to Bandcamp that rejects any and all music that it detects is AI-generated, and that flags the account.

While looking at a work thing that was grabbing from news articles, I saw one about Ricky Gervais. I had heard about him trying to own the libs, but I wasn't aware of how far gone he was. He's just become a little shit now.Comments
What on earth is the motivation for making everything about hating trans people? Maybe after Extras sucking, he thought this was the only way he can get attention? -

I did two rounds of newaza randori, which weren't particularly difficult, then one round of standing randori, which felt extra difficult because of the tiredness. I thought it would actually go better because I was well-warmed up.Comments
But no. I am actually am in much better condition than I was last year, but still not in three-consecutive-rounds-of-judo condition.
Then, I did another two rounds with some black belts that were training for a tournament, so I took over what felt like twenty falls. I did realize that the best thing I can do against an aggressive skilled opponent is maintain an upright posture. Besides making me harder to throw, doing this helped me throw with an almost accidental ouchi gari when one of them was going for some other throw.
Anyway, I feel pretty good for surviving. -
Via Three Bean Salad, I learned of these Bible verses, 2 Kings:23-24:Comments
23 Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”
24 So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. -

Then I learned about the feasts of Apicius - a Roman epicure who liked flamingo tongues and is a good first-century analogue of unbearable food guys today.

“Unbearable food guys” is such a good phrase. -
You can still register for the Armor Mania 3 Metal Fest! If you have the many pieces of armor required, you can go and fight in this tournament. Looks like only six guys are registered, and the tournament is Saturday, so they'll probably welcome you.Comments

She's explicit about just ICE being goons. Refreshing. -

Lawsuit Alleges $12 Billion "Unicorn" Deel Cultivated Spy, Orchestrated Long-Running Trade-Secret Theft & Corporate Espionage Against CompetitorComments
The lawsuit describes in vivid detail how the alleged spy, when confronted last Friday at Rippling’s Dublin office with a court order to hand over his phone, fled to the bathroom and locked the door. When repeatedly warned not to delete materials from his device and that his non-compliance could result in jail time, the spy responded: “I’m willing to take that risk,” and fled the premises.
Classic '80s-style corporate stuff! -
Interesting reasons for the lack of quarry software.Comments
- The quarry itself has no electricity.
- The quarry and large sections of the surrounding area have spotty cell phone coverage.
- They primarily use walkie-talkies and have to replace them every 12 months due to dust, drops, or accidental crushing. -

Please note: It's definitely POSSIBLE to port CrossCode to Switch.
Whoa. I think that CrossCode packaged an entire browser and put it into their Switch port.
You might be able to run the HTML5 base on it if you develop the right environment.
Not that that’s all that different from shipping a copy of the Unity runtime or Electron apps, but it never occurred to me that you could do that. -

DHS, DOJ, and Customs and Border Patrol Policies on Use of Deadly Force and Moving VehiclesComments
Fleeing Subjects: Deadly force shall not be used solely to prevent the escape of a fleeing subject. However, deadly force is authorized to prevent the escape of a fleeing subject where the LEO has a reasonable belief that the subject poses a significant threat of death or serious physical harm to the LEO or others and such force is necessary to prevent escape.
Not that laws matter, but several laws say that DHS employees cannot kill people driving away from them, which is common sense. -

This Fluid Judo Japan video about a guy named Carl visiting Japan to work out with the people that make the videos in the channel, which is mostly instructional. But in the last bit they mostly talk about what a great guy Carl is. I love unintentional hilarious tonal shifts like that.Comments

What happened when Border Patrol agents showed up at Minneapolis’ Roosevelt High SchoolComments
“It was clear that they had gotten their target and the agents were lingering,” Mellum said. A crowd, including what she estimated to be 30 to 40 students, started to form.
You can imagine who’d respond to an ICE recruitment drive. They’re just violence-seeking thugs that are nothing but a problem for civilization. They should be in prison until they get better.
Agents started “taunting” the crowd and “some people took the bait” and approached the federal vehicles, Mellum said. That’s when agents got back out of their vehicles and pepper sprayed some in the crowd.
In a statement, the Minneapolis Federation of Educators said an educator was arrested and released, and that agents had deployed tear gas at the scene. - Comments
