I finished Free by Lea Ypi last week. It's about her childhood growing up in Albania. All the stuff about her parents letting her internalize ideas — for he own safety — that the dictatorship pushed was fascinating. So was a lot of the rest of it, like how a different kind of misery hit the country when capitalism was unleashed and how Western leftists would tell her she didn't grow up under "real" socialism.
