Dropped off (we had to run the whole way), picked up, dropped off.
Dealt with a bank issue, which in this case, was my own fault.
Wrote an email to the teacher asking how we can help at home with getting better at task completion.
Fixed a thing that bothered me about Fucking Shakespeare At some point, years ago, I threw "consarn" and "bollocks" into the modifier list to mix things up. As much as I like those words, they'd cause the production of incongruous segments like "Motherfucking cut off the heads of god-damned too-fast-growing sprays That consarn look too consarn lofty in our fucking commonwealth." I kept seeing things like this in its RSS feed and just kept letting it go. Today, I finally updated the fuck-shit-up module to remove those modifiers and also let anyone add whatever modifiers they want. So, the bot is purer again.
Finished reading Rachel Cusk's Outline. It was great. It had a really different structure from fiction that I usually read. It was sort of like reading someone's personal blog entries but also like Canterbury Tales, in that it had a frame story and several stories within that story, except those stories had narrators with variable reliability.
Got groceries.
Talked to the school social worker about social skills.
Got computer microphone working again. Had to go into alsamixer and pump the volume up all the way. That volume is somehow separate from and more important than the volume in Settings.
Went to the contractors' roundtable. Learned about the concept of productized services (something you know you can do reliably, often with little effort, that you offer at a fixed price) and what a reasonable recruiter markup is (20-30%).
Made dinner.
Went to MCG, heard some more Colin Stetson I should check out and other interesting stuff.
Got the FFT output from the vocode tool dumped to wav files. It's not meant to be listened to, but it can still be compared to the pd output.
