Flooding is now complex enough that a lot of things I want to change take a while. This wouldn't happen if I had designed the system perfectly, but then I would have spent months up front not making any music. Also, I had no idea what I wanted it to do.
The current thing I wanted to try is these big pauses. ("Grand pauses" as they are called in orchestral scores.)
Synthskel does have the concept of rests, so I tried putting those in, then was all like, duh, why are sounds still playing. Other voices had durations that reached into the rest and didn't care if this new thing was resting. So now I gotta find the thing that (hopefully) has all the active events so it can stop them. Next week, that is.
