This latest revision was informed by two things:
1) Katt moved the painting off the table so that friends coming over could use that space and put it against the window. There, the backlighting made the parts with less paint brighter, providing more contrast than normal. I think it needed this, but adding contrast without backlighting meant adding more dark and light paint.
2) She bought some actually good paints for her painting, which is looking really vibrant and unified. Seeing that made me decide that some more saturation would help. So, I added some bluer blues.
I might walk some of this back later, but I think it did indeed help to have these increased contrasts.
