- Dropped off and picked up from school for the last time. It was shockingly momentous. The guy made a ton of progress this year, and his teachers were both really perceptive and vigorous about the help he needed. He said goodbye while looking at them and they gave him hugs, instead of him drive-bying it, which is progress on the social front. The single biggest thing we'll miss by moving is this school. But based on the principal I talked to in Medford, I think we'll likely be in a place that has similar attitudes and techniques, even if it is not as richly resourced. And I think the area in which the guy now needs the most help are being addressed outside of school.
- Interviewed. The exercise was a math problem, which I really did not expect from this organization. I didn't finish, but I felt I did a good job demonstrating how I program. We will see how that was perceived.
- Client C work.
- The last day of school was a half day, so I did extra childcare, which I'll be doing through the 1.5 week until camp. I cheated, though. We watched Avatar and played Pikmin, then went to the library. I was actually able to do some work at the library! I might be able to do that bit a few more times, until the guy runs out of books he wants to read.
