Episode 3 of College Behind Bars is intense like the other ones, and there is a really crushing personal story in there, as well as a funny bit about a guy who has to deal with Slack after 20 years in prison.
There's a tangential bit where they show Obama speaking about the DOE funding college for prisoners. While he was not the perfect president, I found myself wishing so hard we could go back to a time when a non-criminal grifter who spoke like a normal person was in charge and genuinely trying to think things through and make things better. I really miss that.
I avoid thinking about this too much because there's not really much to think about it that I and everyone else has already thought, but this is such an astoundingly bad situation we've gotten ourselves into. Really close to the worst possible one, really.
