Junior calisthenics, helped the guy drill kesa gatame and escape thereof, took throws (osotogari, seoinage, sasae tsurikomi ashi, tai otoshi; just occurred to me we forgot tani otoshi), randori in which I played the part of the guy who tries nothing but osoto and seoinage. (Most of those throws aren’t quite ready for the tournament, but his following up is looking good.)
I was able to do eight pull-ups. I think the trapezius is finally back to normal after who knows how long!
I think it’d be good for me to do some morning judo or jiujitsu. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is less interesting to me than judo, but it’s definitely lower impact. Also, all of those gyms are for-profit, unlike most judo dojos, so they actually have morning hours.
Also because of their for-profit nature, though, they’re all like $200 a month. That approaches the price of a Smidgeo subscription.
