I did some in-the-throes-of-the-flu-or-whatever-that-was reflecting. Maybe I'll think these are dumb later, but I had these insights:
- My default thinking cycle is really tiresome. Will this project get done this month? Should I start on this project? How can I move my career in a direction I like, etc. I was lying there with these weird aches, and the thinking was wearing me out, like CNN at the airport.
- Being able to sleep without pain is the greatest possible activity.
- I want to be fully rested more often and see how my work turns out when fully rested. I'm going to stop trying to get up really early. Instead, I'm going to try a "going to bed early" program. If I fail to get up early-ish as a result of that, I'm just going to start going to work later.
- I have a very good home life, and I should enjoy it more instead of considering it checkmark status and doing all this striving for other crap. I should just enjoy myself more in general.
