Did a light judo workout, then a sixteen-minute run, eleven pull-ups.
The judo workout was courtesy of a sensei who also had a kid in the kids’ class. He spent a lot of time fixing my issues with kouchi gari, and I felt kind of bad about it because he didn’t get as much time to work on his own stuff. So, strangely, this nice opportunity just felt like too much? Maybe next time I can make sure he works on his own stuff more.
I was thinking about working on morote seoinage, and another sensei just kept it real and said I’m not the type for that — I’m not tall, but I am “tall” for my weight, and I’m not powerful. I’m glad he said that. It does indeed make sense. So, I’ll pick stuff to focus on that’s less of a stretch for me.
