I improvised some soup, which turned out well. Usually, me improvising cooking ends in downfall. It’s partially tom kha gai soup (chicken broth, chicken, ginger, lime, coconut cream, basil, sugar) and also partially a vegetable soup (grilled onion, pepper, and zucchini leftover from yesterday). It’s got the tom kha characteristics, and in retrospect, it is mostly that, so maybe it wasn’t that improvised after all.
Regardless, the vegetables do add something. The zucchini has a nice texture, the pepper is pepper, and onions are a classic successful soup ingredient.
