We're nine episodes into Physical: Asia now.
My take on the first quest turned out to be wrong. There was a lot of room for tactical play in the king of the hill game. There's deciding which circle to go for, how to occupy that circle (lying down, linking limbs, or staying up and pushing people out, sumo-style), and how to take an occupied circle (rushing as a train, targeting individuals, waiting until the last few seconds to jump in).
All of the games so far have been well-designed. The only issue I have with them is the order they run in. The last season of Physical: 100 featured direct physical confrontation that favors larger and stronger players in the beginning and then moves on to more and more endurance-based games that weed out the big muscle people. This season seems to be doing the same.
The first season mixed it up a little more, starting with the hanging game. I'd like to see more of that. I suppose they're hesitant to do things that eliminate the large guys before you can see the spectacle of small guys around, but I think some of them would survive anyway.
