If you lived in a 2D square that was the face of a 3D cube, you’d be used to moving in two dimensions, let’s say x and y. If you then moved to an adjacent face, you could then move in a new dimension, z. But while x would be unavailable, you could still move in a familiar dimension, y.
So if you lived in a 3D, that was the face of a hypercube, you’d be accustomed to moving in x, y, and z dimensions. But after moving to an adjacent face, you’d lose x, keep y and z, and gain w.
So, crudely speaking, would you no longer be able to move left and right, but still be able to go up and down and back and forth, but also go -w and +w? Would the w movement just be no big deal; just something you never thought of before?
