I got an email from PayPal saying:
Because you have continually filed cases that do not align with the intent of the PayPal Purchase Protection Program and are contrary to the terms outlined in our User Agreement, we’ve determined you can no longer use PayPal’s services. We’ve limited your account so you can no longer send or receive funds. Your ability to file PayPal Purchase Protection cases has also been removed. Any existing PayPal Purchase Protection cases you've filed will be denied.
I last filed a dispute in 2021, and they resolved it in my favor. Their A.I. assistant does not let you dispute this account freeze.
Other people have hit this.
Luckily, I made my hosting payment to Digital Ocean through them yesterday, and I don't have a balance with PayPal. So, I just removed it from everything I used it to pay or receive money with.
If you have a balance with PayPal, I recommend getting it out of there, because if this happens to you, you're to getting it out without a struggle.
