OK, it's day 2 of my early wakeup schedule, and I have been drowsy since 3. This is often when my attempts at adopting a new schedule collapse.
I have an unfounded belief that if I get through today and tomorrow morning things will work out, probably because it lines up with popular story narratives about changing one's life.
I really do hope this sticks, though, because the days are so much less anxious when you know you already got your project work in.
