Yesterday, Bonus Cat was high fiving. Tonight, we came back from a restaurant to find him unresponsive. We couldn’t find a heartbeat, but we took him to the emergency vet, where he was declared dead.
Weirdly, even though he wasn’t breathing and didn’t have a heartbeat, I thought he could get up at any moment. His eyes looked normal and everything.
