I kind of knew I was doing this, but I spent 75% of my D&D prep time writing a fairly flexible generator for NPCs, and basically, it came into play about 10% of the time.
Still, it felt good to be able to quickly get equipment, ability scores, interests, skills, names, AC, etc. for a large number of NPCs. If I had to come up with these things, they’d be there without me having to think of them. I’m hoping that large groups seem less generic this way.
Anyway, that’s done, and now I can try to get two things in for two different game jams before I go on a trip this Thursday.
