I forgot that one of my many past forms of TODO lists was writing things on poker chips back in 2020.
The reason I was trying to call Gerald was that he was renting a condo I had in Evanston back then and hadn't paid his rent in a while. It turned out he had been in a car accident, then died from covid in the convalescent center.
