I saw a talk that mentioned in passing kids helping with programming. The kid doesn’t actually have to understand what’s going on, the same way that a kid helping with cooking doesn’t understand what’s going on.
I’m not interested in the kid learning to code, especially at the age of five, but any additional activity you can do together helps because lockdown is a wasteland.
I happen to be doing something geometrical lately, so I asked if he wanted to help draw circles on the computer with me. We had a good time. I think it’s because it’s fun to see pictures changing.
