Today's weird D&D situation: A vampire turned into a gas cloud. The PCs used a bellows to capture some of it, but couldn't get it all. In the moment, I imagined part of it would separate and continue floating away.
But I'm not exactly sure what would happen to a vampire that lost 2/3 of its volume while in another form. Like, is the consciousness equally distributed throughout the cloud? The only opinion I see out there about this is basically that
it shouldn't be allowed to happen.
I thought of a couple of things not really backed by any precedent, but I guess I'll have to roll with one of them.
