About a year and a half ago, I saw someone tossing out this huge over-the-desk shelving unit. I didn’t have space in my car for it, so I asked if I could take the shelves, which I thought were solid would. They turned out to be particle board, but high density particle board, which is actually expensive.
At the time, I thought I would use it to make a litter box cabinet, which turned out to not be needed.
Yesterday, I came across this bookcase with no shelves! So, I grabbed it, and today, I cut the old shelves down to size and — blaow! Bookcase with shelves.
I think when we first moved in, we thought we’d get nice, paid tier furniture (maybe it’s called “premium tier”?) at a level beyond IKEA. The problem is that that kind of furniture is always $3000+. And at this point, it is looking like the guy is a college type rather than a vocational type, and we have a ways to go until we can pay for four years of college. And there’s so much uncertainty now. We do have to consider moving out of the country even though I know that likely won’t work out.
