Weirdly visually-high-res dreams last night:
1) I was on a rooftop, and I saw one of those 100-ft. tall gas station signs flying around. It landed near the building I was on, took off again, then hit the lip of the roof of the building, dropped back down, then took off again.
Ultimately, it landed on the rooftop I was on. Several guys came out, and they said this was a prototype for video game they were working on that was peripheral-oriented, like Guitar Hero
I asked something about whether it could be controlled a different way, and one of them proudly replied that it could only be controller via joystick. Some podcasters were also there (dream insertion without explanation), and they nodded sagely as the game dev said you could spend $5 each on researching two control schemes or you could spend $10 to research one really good control scheme.
2) There was a bunch of 16-bit smoke clouds exploding out of the doors of a building. Everything else was analogue real-world resolution. The animation rate on the smoke was so slow that it looked stop-motion.
I tried to get a video but accidentally tapped the area on the phone that switches the camera to photo. By the time I fixed it, the smoke was gone.
The doors opened, and graduating students wearing the graduation suits came out. It looked like a church inside.
Then, I got an email from my friend that announced he decided to send his kid to a private high school.
A cat jumped on me, and I woke up.
