Hey, for anyone with kids that may be curious about math circles, Cambridge Math Circle is opening up for a Pi Day party tomorrow (3/14).
It's going to be like the regular classes, in which the kids talk about and try out interesting problems, except that there will be round foods as well (but with no nuts).
Here's the class times:
9:15 - 10:00am (recommended for Grades 1-3)
10:15 - 11:15am (recommended for Grades 4-8)
2:15 - 3:00pm (recommended for Grades 1-3)
3:15 - 4:15pm (recommended for Grades 4-8)It's at Room B10 (basement level) in the Harvard Science Center.
I think math circle is a genuinely interesting activity, and it's not some kind of prep class. I would totes be in it if it were for grown-ups.
So, if you know kids that would want to try this, fill in this RSVP form and come on by!
