- Tried to come up with riff for an idea I had about making a fake version of a kind of rock radio promo that I find funny. Thought I had one, started recording, listened back, and didn't like it, so I went woodshedding for quite a while. I realized the problem is, I don't live the kind of music in this sort of promo, so the intersection of riffs I would like and riffs that would be in that kind of thing is pretty small.
- Got some Chipotle for lunch, which I craved, but afterward, I was like, why?
- Paid for my company domain renewal and hosting via PayPal because the company credit card on file was declined because I lost the physical card and reported it lost.
- I did this nearly a month ago in the hopes that I would get the new one in time, but of course not. "Due to something something there are delays."
- I felt bad about not doing much with this $50 domain.
- Paid electrician for a visit last week, which turned out to be "new LED bulbs can sometimes be bad". Paid other non-automated bills.
- Set up a playdate for the guy with a friend from school.
- Booked climbing for guy, but it's one of those things where you think you can do it online, but you can actually only pay online, but have to call to make sure you have a spot in the class.
- Recorded a podcast segment.
- Updated the resume again. Most of the time was spent digging for old titles. I didn't find some of them. I even looked through physical papers!
- Made dinner.
- Watched some videos with the guy, including part of the 36th Chambers of Shaolin edit. (Shoulda cut more, ended up skipping right to the training; he found the journey to Shaolin boring.)
- Watched the video of the first class in Miller Puckette's course. Our study group thought they might be easier to understand than his book alone. The first class was mostly stuff we already covered, but I did learn that pd subpatches must in the same directory as the parent patch.
