I still have rental alerts on from last summer in which it looked like we might have to rent. This 3-bedroom in Acton costs $5000/month. This is a peak price (though there was another that was $5700), but the other listing from my morbid email alert are all between 3 and 5K lately. There are a lot of 2-bedrooms that are around 2K, though these are often 750 sq. ft.

For reference, Acton is a fairly rural town about 25 miles from Boston, though it does have highly-ranked school system.
