I spilled water on my keyboard while scrambling to get ready for a conference with our new teacher. Having no time to take care of it, I unplugged it and turned it upside down, then joined the conference.
Later, I pulled off the key caps to dry it and wipe it down with alcohol. While doing that, I pulled apart a few switches and lost a couple of springs. I found one by taking the keyboard apart, but the other one, I couldn’t find.
Typically, this kind of thing greatly angers me, but today, I decided I would just live without an End key.
A few hours later, I did happen across the missing spring. Considering that this incident made me clean out the inside of the keyboard, the keyboard is actually, in a sense, better than it was before the initial mishap.
