I took the guy out to a parking lot with a bunch of snow mountains in it, and I happened to see Jupiter next to the moon. It was a sublime experience, in the original sense of the word “sublime”.
(You can’t tell from a phone photo, but it’s red, so at the very least, it’s not a star)
There is a
Great Conjunction happening, in which Jupiter and Saturn are the closest they’ll appear in twenty years. So, if you have less light pollution than me, you might be able to see both if you go out to look.
