We got an application approved for a rental and now have a place to go in the (now fairly likely) event that we don't buy a house in the next month. It's an extremely expensive apartment (and is really hotel-like), but the terms for breaking the lease are explicit, so we don't have to worry about fighting someone in the event that we find a house before the end of the lease.
And it is cheaper than an Airbnb. (I was thinking, rents are so high, might as well get an Airbnb! But no, Airbnb rates are even higher.)
We kinda feel like we shouldn't relax, but we do officially have this place. It's real!
