Welp, looks like I’ll be getting in at midnight because my connection from New York back to Boston is delayed. But I could have avoided this at two turning points: 1) I could have expected customs to the US to take way longer than customs to Canada, which literally took five minutes and was automated. 2) I could have realized I could ask people in the customs line if I could cut. I think Dan mentioned that, but I thought he was talking about asking the officials to let me through. When I was nearly through the line, I saw a guy actually asking him if he could go ahead, and the norm is to let those people through.
It’s cool, though. If Ryu was in this situation, he’d just use the time to practice some shoryukens.
