These are posts about my tourist-style expeditions into Noita. I'm not good at the game, but I really enjoy seeing weird things and dying in wacky and varied ways.
I'm a spider now!
Hey, extra limbs!
Acid tidal wave caused by something off-screen, possibly one of those dynamite guys.
This teleport wand was neat, but I was too afraid of putting myself in situations in which I'd get hurt to use it much.
The rain also caused these vines to grow all over the place. The flowers were explosive.
The rain caused a smell!
Hey, it rained a lot!
Another wizard appeared, which was terrifying! (See upper right.) They promptly accidentally caught on fire, though, which was a relief.
There is a guy trapped in this pit of flaming blood, and I waited for the flames to die out so I could kill him, then soak in the blood to heal. But it took a while, so I put out the fire with my own water bottle. Once in the blood, I realized I wasn't drinking it like I thought I would with Vampirism. I healed 0 hp from Vampirism.
I forgot what the pink coal is, but it's the most flammable substance in a world full of flammable substances.
I picked up Vampirism, but I did not pick up the knowledge of how to actually drink blood.
The polymorph potion turned me into this giant horror centipede. I don't know if I was in control of it, but I was able to get to the Holy Mountain portal as the centipede, at which point, I changed back.
I accidentally shot this chaotic polymorph potion that was submersed in acid, and it started leaking all over. I had been planning to blow up the bottom of the acid pool to let the acid out, then go get the potion. I ended up doing that anyway, then jumping in the spilled potion.
Hey, there's a "wand" that's just a torch. It's nice to be able to set controllable(ish) fires, but also you have to go right up to things to do it.
I was able to bomb my way into the Mines by finding shallow land on the surface. It's not really that expedient, but it does feel cool.
Trees are really flammable.
I have never blown up a tree before. It's quite the spectacle.
I got the invisibility potion and thought I'd cruise through the rest of the level, but hilariously, you seem to only be able to sprinkle it on yourself a bit at time like the other potions. This acid bag thing showed up, and I was only 22% invisible, so I ran and tried to make myself more invisible. Then, it caught up, and I ran again.
This is the first time I've found a store that's not in a between-levels safe stage. I bought the question mark thing, but died before I could use it.
I don't know if I've noticed this before, but A) the fire guys don't have great reach, but really hurt you when they can get you and B) they bleed lava.
So, sometimes the worm that comes out of the Wiggling Egg bores holes in the ground, which is really cool. But it's also really fast and will kill you.
News: Guys are extra mean in the Snowy Depths. Shoulda stayed invisible the whole time.
Rage-fueled levitation is a great concept.
OK, being invisible is super cool. Just cruise on by, Difficult Flying Insect.
