Heh, so I have a couple hours to myself to work on projects. Naturally, I am updating from Ubuntu 16 to 18 because:
- 18 has Gnome, and its nice key remapper. I need to remap keys because:
- Copy and pasting with ctrl (on the outer edges of the keyboard) is bad for my wrists and is really unfamiar to my muscle memory because I'm used to Macs. I'm not on a Mac now because:
- Nothing good is going to come of:
1) Viewing everything from a privileged platform and building accordingly and
2) Supporting a trillion-dollar company that:
A) Never pays taxes despite being having absorbed a ton of the world's wealth and resources
B) Uses vast wealth to crush innovation (in this sense, it has many peers)
Anyway, this is basically a one-time hassle, but it is funny how I get to these places.
